New faces, new money, and new products garnered the most interest among website visitors this past week.

The top traffic driver was the addition of two new innovations to DePuy Synthes’ ATTUNE Knee portfolio: the ATTUNE Cementless Fixed Bearing Knee with AFFIXIUM 3DP Technology and the ATTUNE Medial Stabilized Knee System. The new innovations build on the kinematic features and proprietary technologies of the original ATTUNE Knee, including the ATTUNE GRADIUS Curve and GLIDERIGHT Articulation, which are designed to revolutionize knee patient care.

Introduced in late 2021, the ATTUNE Cementless Fixed Bearing Knee with AFFIXIUM 3DP Technology (ATTUNE AFFIXIUM Knee) is a next-generation, 3D printed cementless knee designed for a growing population of more active patients for whom biological fixation helps to better meet the demands of their active lifestyle today and into the future. The ATTUNE Medial Stabilized Knee System, which incorporates asymmetric anatomic inserts with a raised medial lip, to provide medial stabilityxvii and a TruARC Lateral Path for natural knee function.

Orthopedic bracing and billing services firm Breg garnered pageviews by appointing Kevin Hobert as its new president and CEO. Hobert’s career spans almost three decades at global medical device and healthcare IT companies. Before Breg he was CEO of Carestream Health. He also previously led Kodak’s Health Group and held multiple leadership positions at GE Medical Systems.

3Spine Inc. gained new money via $33 million in an oversubscribed Series C private offering, which will be used for a Phase 2 clinical study of the BalancedBack Total Joint Replacement in the United States.

And, Shoulder Innovations will soon be marketing a new product, having earned U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its InSet stemless humeral system, the newest component of its InSet total shoulder system. The new stemless humeral component is part of the integrated shoulder system, combining stemless and stemmed as well as anatomic and reverse configurations in one platform. Surgeons are able to easily change from stem to stemless configurations per their procedural needs, helping reduce operating room time and saving cost on cleaning and sterilization.
